Students from UKG class took on the role of traffic ambassadors to teach road safety. The students, aged 5-6, held placards to spread awareness about the importance of following traffic rules. The students were observed teaching about the importance of wearing a helmet, not crossing the road at the wrong place and not talking on the phone while driving. They also taught the importance of not honking and not over speeding. The initiative was appreciated a lot as it was heartening to see such young children taking up the responsibility of educating their fellow citizens about road safety. The school principal said that the children were excited to take on the role of traffic ambassadors and were happy to be able to contribute something to society. She said that the school will continue to encourage such initiatives in the future. The initiative has been widely praised by the parents, who feel that it is important to inculcate good habits in young children. It is believed that such initiatives will help in creating a generation of responsible citizens who will be more aware of their surroundings and make the roads safer.
